Texas. In 2015, the Texas State Legislature enacted HB 483 setting in motion a series of events. Fact becomes fiction in Award-Winning Author Anita Dickason’s riveting new thriller, A u 7 9, that spirals to an explosive climax with a bizarre twist. At the conclusion, an article details The Story Behind the Fiction with a quote from the Governor of Texas.

What connects Texas A&M University and the University of Texas to the disappearance of a Laredo ATF agent? When the local investigation stalls, FBI Tracker Adrian Dillard is sent to Texas to find out why.

A chilling discovery puts Homeland Security on high alert. Pressure mounts as the President demands answers. When a Laredo homicide detective and a truckload of explosives disappear, Adrian knows he’s out of time. There’s only one question left. Who dies next?

In a recent interview, Anita was asked how much of her was in her books. The answer was “OMG—a whole lot.” Incidents and characters are based on Anita’s extensive law enforcement knowledge and experience, starting with the serial killer in her debut novel: Sentinels of the Night. She enjoys interacting with readers and sharing tidbits of her personal experiences that add the realism to her plots.
